Green Energy Upgrades undertook an energy-efficiency retrofit project at Sunshine Christian School, as showcased in their case studies section. The initiative involved upgrading lighting, likely switching from traditional fluorescent systems to modern LED solutions, delivering a more efficient lighting environment. Through this transformation, the school improved its energy performance and enhanced the learning atmosphere for students. The upgrade also underscores Green Energy Upgrades’ commitment to helping Victorian institutions reduce operational costs and carbon footprints under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.
Bambis Import Co., a longstanding retailer in Coburg North, recently partnered with Green Energy Upgrades to reduce operational expenses and lower its carbon footprint. Under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) scheme, the store replaced its older fluorescent and halogen lighting with energy-efficient LED panels and battens. This lighting retrofit not only slashed energy consumption substantially, but also improved the lighting quality in the sales floor and display areas, enhancing the shopping experience. Additional upgrades included the installation of a high-efficiency hot water heat pump system, replacing a less efficient electric one. The combined interventions are projected to deliver significant annual savings on utility bills, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and provide Bambis with a more modern, sustainable facility.
Shield Self Storage in Campbellfield partnered with Green Energy Upgrades through the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program to improve its operating sustainability and reduce energy costs. The project involved replacing older facility lighting with LED fixtures in hallways, unit corridors, external areas and signage, as well as installing motion sensor controls to ensure lights are used only when needed. The roof was evaluated for solar PV installation to partially offset electricity consumption, especially for lighting and security systems. With these upgrades, Shield anticipates a substantial fall in electricity bills, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and improved illumination for safety and customer satisfaction. The facility strengthens its sustainability credentials while improving cost-efficiency in day-to-day operations.
Technical Advanced Training in Broadmeadows partnered with Green Energy Upgrades under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program to modernise its lighting system. The project replaced older fluorescent and less efficient fixtures with high-performance LED panels and battens. The upgrade markedly enhanced the learning environment—classrooms and workshop spaces now benefit from brighter, more even, glare-reduced lighting—which contributes to improved comfort and productivity. According to the organisation’s CEO, Aydin Tat, the installation was managed with a high degree of professionalism, causing minimal disruption to their operations. Beyond visual improvements, the school expects significant reductions in energy consumption and utility costs, underlining the dual benefits of cost savings and sustainability
